I was born in Zimbabwe and raised in Mozambique. I moved to the UK to study at University. I went into the accounting industry for a few years, and one day decided I needed a change, a BIG change. So I booked my yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh, India and a month later off I went!
My yoga journey has been truly incredible, from meeting some amazing, kind, and thoughtful yogis in Rishikesh to bringing back so much knowledge, excitement, and a real desire to be better and do better.
I used to compete in Triathlons until I had a accident during a race which resulted in an operation on my knee and four operations on my feet. Yoga has really shown me that anything is possible, if you put the work in. I learnt to appreciate the power that yoga brings, and this is what inspired me to start PowerPose.
I believe yoga is a great motivator to get up in the morning and start the day strong, or during the day to keep going, and also to relax your body and mind in the evenings before you sleep. Anyone can practise yoga, regardless of your age, or ability, and everyone will see benefits from yoga if practised properly and regularly.
